Satori in Belfast
Satori opened its doors in September 2019, just six months before the world turned upside down. Co-owned by Wind and Jocelyn Tracy and sushi chef Robert Voudvihong, the restaurant quickly became a local fixture—not just for its food, but for the way it reshaped what dining in Belfast could feel like. With a sleek, modern vibe, a small but mighty team, and a loyal base of regulars, Satori is now a neighborhood staple as busy in February as it is in July.
The menu is rooted in simplicity and intention. Rather than offer everything under the sun, Satori keeps the sushi menu tight and seasonal, accompanied by a selection of ramen and rice bowls that strike a balance between comfort and depth. Wind’s bar program brings just as much care, offering complex, well-crafted cocktails like the “Woodland Creatures,” a smoked Manhattan riff served with drama and flame.
Despite the quality of the food and drinks, the vibe remains down to earth. This isn’t a special-occasion-only spot; it’s where families gather for weeknight sushi, locals swing by for takeout, and friends linger at the four-seat bar. “We have a small team, and we treat each other like family,” Jocelyn says. “That energy shows up in how people feel when they walk in the door.”
Whether you're ordering a Diamonds on My Windshield cocktail, a warm bowl of ramen, or a creative mocktail made to your taste, Satori offers something for everyone—without ever feeling like it's trying to be everything. It’s casual but elevated, relaxed but exacting, and always consistent in its warm, personal approach.
