Wanderwood in Nobleboro

Wanderwood is an organic farm and event venue in Nobleboro, owned and operated by Kelsey Gibbs and Matt Silverman. After leaving careers in Portland and traveling through the UK, the couple returned to Maine with a vision: to connect people to the land, to each other, and to where their food comes from. They spent several years restoring a historic property before officially opening in 2021 with a working organic farm, guest accommodations, and a renovated year-round event barn for weddings, retreats, and events.

"We wanted to create a place that had a kind of natural magic to it," Kelsey says. "A working farm that also invites people to slow down and be present." That balance of practicality and poetry shows up across the property—in the organically grown produce and wildflower arrangements, the thoughtfully appointed farmhouse and event barn, and the art and cooking classes hosted on site.

Wanderwood’s seasonal farm dinners have become one of their signature offerings. Upcoming dinners include events with Chef David O’Brien on July 19 and September 20, as well as with the Husky Boi team—Brent Foster and Ariel Knoebel—on August 16 and October 11. Each dinner is designed to be immersive, highlighting the farm’s organic produce and offering guests a shared meal that feels both intimate and celebratory. "It’s not just about the food," Matt says. "It’s about creating a real genuine experience—something rooted in place and community."
